I am currently looking to build some of these for myself.

I will update with dimensions and specs as I go. I may even upload the dxf files too, but I will have to think about that.

I am currently having the rings made by a local company calledIndustrial Overlay. I gave them my dxf file and they are water jetting these out for me.

They should be done sometime this week and I will post some pictures when I get them back.

I found a fifth rim to match my old that I had from another project. I had a hard time sandblasting a brand new rim to get it ready for powder coating. Some of my co-workers that I was nuts.

I have a little surprise in store for the final look of these which I will disclose at a later time.

Here are a couple of shots of the rims before and after sandblasting:

Sandblasting does not take off the chrome, but it does make it rough enough for the powder coat to stick. A test piece confirmed these findings.

I have got some more work done to these this weekend. I took the rims and made sure o prep the edge of the rim for weld. Here are a couple of shots to show you where I ground and how much I ground. I painted one of them black to give you a better idea of what ares was ground.

I also got the rings today from getting water jetted. They look really good.
Now I need to do a little prep work on the inner ring for welding and powder coating. I will get a couple of pics for this later today.

After getting the rings I took some time to add a little extra bling to them. What I decided to do was not just leave the letters open to the inside of the wheel. SO I made some plates to cover them from the back and I am going to get them powder coated Red like my Jeep. The rest will be powder coated black.

To attach the plates to the back I had to weld in some bolts from the front and weld them in to hide them from view. I started with an 82* counter sink to allow for a Flat Head Socket Cap Screw to fit below the surface. Then I welded them over and ground them flush with the face.

Then I turned my attention to the inner rings that are being welded to the rim.

With a sufficient amount of weld chamfer I welded them around the entire perimeter to keep air in the tire.

Now i am ready to grind the welds down on the rim and send them to be powder coated black.

Today I got back some pieces from being powder coated. The pieces will be behind the outer ring of the bead lock to make the letters show red.

I welded the bolts into the outer rings.

After welding them I ground them flat with the the surface to hide them from view on the front.

When I got the outer rings finished from welding the bolts to hold these pieces I tested one to see what they looked like.

They do not look like much from the back, but they will have a really cool affect.

Now all I need to do is get the outer rings powder coated black to finish the affect I am looking for. These should make a really cool addition to my Jeep.

Took a quick shot with the cell phone today of the beadlocks after powder coating and the back plates installed.

The lighting is not the best but you get the idea.
Now when the rims get done I get started on installing all of those bolts. 160 to be exact.

Is there any reason you had them water jetted instead of plasma cut. It seams like that would be a little expensive to have done.

Anyway they look good so far, keep the pics coming.

The only place in my area that had a cnc plasma said that their machine was too big to do the bolt holes. So I went with the next best thing.
